Overview
From August 19 to 24 2025, the Palermo–Montecarlo Regatta returns—one of the most captivating and prestigious offshore sailing competitions in the Mediterranean. First held in 2005, this regatta symbolically links two iconic maritime destinations: Palermo, starting from the scenic Gulf of Mondello, and glamorous Monte Carlo, the final destination.
Organized by Circolo della Vela Sicilia in collaboration with the Yacht Club de Monaco and Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, this event is more than a race—it's a sporting and scenic adventure that challenges the technical skills of top international crews while offering breathtaking visual experiences.
The course unfolds through deep waters, shifting winds, and spectacular maritime landscapes, creating a natural and technical show for professionals, sailing enthusiasts, and spectators alike.
Since 2015, the regatta has been part of the IMA – Mediterranean Maxi Offshore Challenge circuit, confirming its prestige among Europe’s most competitive Maxi Yacht races.
