Casa Shakespeare presents Shakespeare 2026, a major cultural project that will accompany Verona for a whole year on the occasion of the 410th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare and the Shakespeare World Congress, hosted in the city during the summer.
Shakespeare 2026 is an annual festival of theatre, meetings and culture that brings together shows, performances, screenings, podcasts and wide-ranging events, which constitute the evolution of over ten years of work by Casa Shakespeare on the Italian and international scene. The project's mission is to make Shakespeare accessible, inclusive and contemporary, a living heritage for different audiences.
The programme includes twelve theatre productions in twelve months, two historical festivals and numerous permanent formats ranging from theatre in the auditorium to touring shows.
Also central is the Shakespeare Interactive Museum, the first immersive Shakespearean museum in Italy, which integrates theatre and digital innovation.
