Vinitaly and the City, the festival dedicated to wine excellence, returns to showcase the millennia-old history of wine in Calabria and the earliest evidence of winemaking, through archaeology and ancient production techniques: an unmissable event for lovers of good wine and more, bringing together the region's identity with its flavours and culture. Following the success of the previous editions, which saw widespread participation and the involvement of wineries and producers from across the region, for the third year running, the Vinitaly and the City event is doubling down, taking place in two stunning settings.
The first stop will be at the Sibari National Archaeological Park, in the municipality of Cassano all'Ionio (Province of Cosenza), from 17 to 19 July 2026. This is an opportunity to promote tourism, with a particular focus on the Sybarite region and its excellent accommodation options.
The second stop will be on the 'Falcomatà' waterfront in Reggio Calabria, on the weekend of 1 and 2 August 2026. This event will also offer the opportunity to taste the fine wines of the Costa Viola, on the Lower Tyrrhenian coast.
