05 February 2023 - 11 March 2023

Great rugby returns to Rome with the 2023 edition of the Guinness Six Nations, the oldest tournament in the world, which has now rightfully been added to the calendar of the most important sporting events held every year in the capital.

Starting as the Home Nations Championship in 1883 between the four nations of the British Isles (England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland) from 1910 it became Five Nations with the addition of France.

Only in 2000 did it take on its current denomination of Six Nations with the invitation of Italy which had access to the exclusive competition for sporting merits thanks to the victories obtained on the field against Ireland, Scotland and France. The matches are played with a home advantage in alternate seasons.

For this season the ticket includes three home games at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The matches in Rome start on February 5th 2023 with Italy going up against reigning champions France. It’s Italy v Ireland on February 25th. Lastly Italy play Wales on March 11th.

It was against Wales that Italy achieved their last victory in the tournament in the last match of 2022 with a score of 22-21, a historic moment for various reasons. It was the first time the Azzurri beat Wales in Cardiff, in the temple of European rugby. Italy came from a long series of defeats, especially considering that the five opponents are consistently among the top eight in the world rankings.

The matches in Rome have become the most popular with Italian and foreign enthusiasts who particularly appreciate the opportunity to visit the unique city for its museum and archaeological heritage. The artistic and architectural beauty adds to the hospitality dedicated to the values and celebration of a sport that finds sublimation in the now famous third half. In the Foro Italico Park, on the occasion of the Six Nations matches, the Villaggio Terzo Tempo (third half village) hosts spectators throughout the day with live music, sports initiatives, food&beverage and the possibility of watching other matches on maxi-screens.

Rome offers every opportunity to transform a high-level sporting event into an unmissable sporting event for families and enthusiasts within its unique setting, capable of combining architecture and nature in unforgettable harmony.
