Parco Vallalta

Overview

A small green lung in the Rovigo countryside

Parco della Vallalta is one of the many protected natural areas in the Veneto region. We are in the province of Rovigo and this delightful park winds along an ancient stretch of the river Tartaro, the stream that flows past the small town of Bagnolo di Po, where the ancient Adria branch of the Po, known as the Filistina, once passed, before continuing its journey through the Trecenta gorges.

Surrounded by the Tartaro and Fossa Maestra rivers, Parco della Vallalta was established more than 35 years ago and has recently been the focus of important redevelopment work, with the involvement also of the WWF. Today this green lung at the gates of Bagnolo di Po is a small natural paradise where you can enjoy a picnic surrounded by birds, the scent of hornbeams and maples that are reflected on the water.

Parco della Vallalta is also the ideal place to explore by bike or on foot for a relaxing and peaceful excursion.
