Two Centuries of Textile and Fashion Design


The exhibition that leads you through the evolution of textile design and changes in fashion during the great period of time from the eighteenth to the twentieth century.

You will be able to view a collection of clothes ranging from tradition to modernity. Over 100 pieces including clothes, fabrics, fashion sketches, books and accessories that document the transformations in the textile sector before and after industrialization. 

In addition to the museum's permanent collection, you will be able to view unreleased dresses that will be exhibited for the first time, such as a two-piece wedding dress from the late 19th century and the evening cloak from the Atelier Elsa Schiaparelli, others have been specially restored to finally be able to expose them to the public.

The protagonists of this magnificent journey, William Morris, Mariano Fortuny, Lucio Fontana and Elsa Schiaparelli (to name a few), creators of style, have left a very important contribution with their artistic and professional experiences. 

A beautiful opportunity to learn about the history of fashion design through high value pieces.
