Autumnia, the eagerly awaited event dedicated to agriculture, the environment and food, returns in Figline and Incisa Valdarno, near Florence, between the Pratomagno massif and the Chianti hills. A little corner of paradise with a landscape that has fascinated painters and poets over the centuries.
Not to be missed is the farmers’ market with around 20 exhibitors from small local companies, where you can taste and buy vegetables, cheese, wine, oil and many other products with zero food miles. And it wouldn’t be Autumnia without the Animal Farm, with piglets, sheep, cows and chickens.
But it doesn’t end there! There is also space for culture in two of the city’s iconic locations: the Teatro comunale Garibaldi and the Palazzo Pretorio, which will offer guided tours to visitors.
The “Il senso dei luoghi” (The sense of places) exhibition at Palazzo Pretorio, describing the Valdarno region through the stories of those who live there, with places, landscapes, portraits and images of everyday life, is not to be missed.
