Great music, exhibitions and more, at the Visarno Arena in Florence, attended by 200,000 fans from all corners of the globe in the last edition alone.
Now in its fifth edition, the festival, produced by Live Nation Italia, has established itself as one of Europe's leading festivals, bringing to the stage the most eagerly awaited international rock stars.
Firenze Rocks has been bringing the best of world rock music to Florence for years now. In the last edition they went from the punk rock of Green Day to the progressive rock of Muse, from the funk-rock of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the heavy metal of Metallica.
The 2023 programme is not yet finalised, although two big names have been confirmed. Maroon 5 are the first confirmed headliners, performing on Sunday, 18 June 2023. R101 is the official radio station for Sunday, 18 June.
The second big name to take the festival stage on Saturday, 17 June 2023 is legendary British rock band, The Who.
For their only Italian date, The Who have chosen to be accompanied by a philharmonic orchestra of excellence and international relevance, also in tribute to the Tuscan capital that will welcome them. It will in fact be the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino to take the stage with the band, in a rock mix that only the combination of the London band and one of Italy's most important orchestras can create.
More artists will be announced in the coming months.
