From 6 October to 10 December, the 50 Giorni di Cinema event returns to Florence, a festival of Florentine festivals with an international vocation.
An intense programme that brings together nine festivals, bringing cinema, culture and art to the city. 2026 is a year that marks important milestones for cinema in Tuscany: in fact, we are celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the "50 Giorni di Cinema a Firenze" and the tenth anniversary of La Compagnia, the Tuscany Region's Casa del Cinema.

6 - 11 October
Middle East Now Film Festival - The Middle East told from a different and surprising perspective, beyond prejudices and stereotypes, with a strong focus on current affairs.
14–18 October
FánHuā Cinese Film Festival – A window on contemporary China. Meetings, screenings, events, guests and side events to learn more about today's China and create a cultural bridge between the two countries.
21 - 25 October
Festival di Cinema e Donne - Dedicated to cinema by international female directors, with a special focus on new female filmmakers.
28 October - 1 November
France Odeon – French Film Festival - The premieres of the best French cinema, the most representative films of French film production, international guests, actors, cultural personalities, directors and screenwriters.
2 - 8 November
Festival dei Popoli - International Documentary Film Festival - The most important International Documentary Film Festival in Italy and the oldest in Europe.
11–15 November
Lo Schermo dell'Arte – A selection of the best recent productions of artist films and documentaries on contemporary art, with talks with artists, authors and curators.
19 - 22 November
Florence Queer Festival - The festival starts from the experience of allies and LGBTQIA+ people to reach both the most diverse audience eager to learn more about queer issues and viewers looking for a programme that speaks to the community.
3 - 8 December
River to River Florence Indian Film Festival - A window on contemporary India, with a selection of the best films in competition, accompanied by the directors and actors. The festival also offers a look at the Indian cinema of the past by the great masters.
1 December
Premio N.I.C.E. Città di Firenze - In collaboration with the Rome festival that has been bringing the best of Irish cinema to Italy since 2007
The "50 Days of Cinema in Florence", conceived and coordinated by the Cinema Area of the Fondazione Sistema Toscana, is made possible thanks to the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Florence, the Region of Tuscany, the Fondazione Sistema Toscana, the Fondazione CR Firenze and the Florence Chamber of Commerce.
