Overview
The Museo Mediceo was the first museum to be established in the Palazzo Medici Riccardi, located on the ground floor and dedicated to the history of the Medici family. However, the museum tour currently includes the Chapel with frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli, the Michelangelo courtyard, the garden and the Gallery frescoed in the 17th century by Luca Giordano. The rooms originally intended for the Museo Mediceo are now used for temporary exhibitions.
