Alpine Ski World Cup Alta Badia

Overview

On Sunday and Monday, 18–19 December 2022, the long-awaited World Cup ski races will take place in Alta Badia, in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites.

An edition characterised by a return to normality, with the public in the grandstands and the hospitality areas – LEITNER VIP Lounge, Red Bull Energy Lounge and Gran Risa Chalet.

This hospitality area is dedicated to Ladin traditions and culture and will host the partners Forst, Oakley and Movimënt for the occasion. In addition to its mountain style, it includes the possibility of tasting some of the best local dishes, simple but genuine cuisine.

Fans of the sport will once again be able to support their favourites live, who, after a two-year break, can once again welcome their numerous fans to the Gran Risa slope, one of the most technical and spectacular in the entire Circo Bianco.

Alta Badia is increasingly emerging as a location that offers the ultimate in mountain pleasures. In this direction, the Alpine Ski World Cup races are a unique opportunity to discover the excellence of the region. The races are, in fact, the highlight of skiing in Alta Badia. The event’s three hospitality areas offer authentic moments of pleasure, based on the main values of the area, namely high-level cuisine, the majesty of the Dolomites and Ladin culture.

The excellence of the moments dedicated to gourmet cuisine is once again at home in the LEITNER VIP Lounge, on the rooftop of the building opposite the parterre, where one can follow the races and spend a few hours in peace and quiet, enjoying a good glass of wine, paired with the dishes created on Sundays by the star chefs Gerhard Wieser (Restaurant Castel finedining, 2 Michelin stars) and Peter Girtler (Restaurant Gourmetstube Einhorn, 2 Michelin stars). Gourmet cuisine will also take centre stage in the LEITNER VIP Lounge during Monday’s competition with the creations of Johann Lerchner (Lerchner's Restaurant, 1 Michelin Green Star). Tickets are available for €275 for Sunday and €200 for Monday.

In the Red Bull Energy Lounge, the pioneering mood of Alta Badia meets the high ambitions of Red Bull and together they create a lounge, unique in the entire World Cup circuit. A building with a large terrace, located directly in the finish area, where fans can watch the races from the privileged front row position, just like in the starting pits of a Formula 1 or MotoGP race. Tickets are on sale for €200 for Sunday and €175 for Monday.

The trophies, which will be awarded to the top three, will again this year be the work of artist Daniele Basso, author of the GIGANT sculpture, installed at the start of the Gran Risa slope for the event’s 30th anniversary.
