Overview
In the heart of Parma's historic downtown, in the 16th-century Palazzo Tarasconi, from 14 February to 31 May 2026, this exhibition offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the movement that revolutionised how we see, feel, and represent reality.
The exhibition itinerary leads the public through a rich, detailed journey among the great protagonists of Impressionism: Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Vincent van Gogh, Giovanni Boldini, Paul César Helleu, Eugène Isabey, Antoine Guillemet, up to Pierre Bonnard and several other artists who embraced the movement and developed its legacy.
Alongside the masters of the movement, the exhibition also presents works by artists of the Barbizon School – Corot, Rousseau, Daubigny and Millet – pivotal figures in the emergence of a new landscape sensibility that would later drive the evolution of Impressionism.
In particular, on the occasion of the centenary of his death, the exhibition focuses on Claude Monet, his artistic legacy, and the central role he played in the development of Impressionism, offering deep insights into his vision, techniques, and
influence on later generations.
The exhibition is a precious occasion to rediscover one of the most fascinating and revolutionary chapters in the history of art, exploring the evolution of Impressionism and its impact on artistic modernism.
