A cycling experience that reveals the most authentic side of Calabria, amid nature, culture and culinary delights. Laduesse originated as a simple tradition among friends and, over time, has evolved into one of the most exciting cycling tourism events in northern Calabria, bringing together different regions, people and stories.
On 31 May 2026, Altomonte will become the starting point and finishing line for a slow and mindful journey, designed for those who love to explore at a leisurely pace. At the heart of the event is Serragiumenta Castle, from which immersive routes branch off through a variety of landscapes: from Pollino National Park to the Cedri Riviera, along minor roads, footpaths and through villages steeped in character.
Laduesse is open to everyone and offers various ways to take part: from a bike day open to all types of bikes and e-bikes, to more structured routes for gravel and mountain bikes, to a food and wine cycling tour with dedicated services. For those seeking a more adventurous experience, the Calabria Trail offers a 178-kilometre ‘unsupported’ route, to be tackled independently by following the GPS track, taking in changes in elevation and breathtaking views.
The routes – Classic, Sunset, Sprint and Calabria Trail – take cyclists through iconic local landmarks: Altomonte, Belvedere Marittimo, San Donato di Ninea, the Fagnano lakes, the Vuglio and Frà Giovanni waterfalls, and on to sites of great spiritual and cultural significance, such as the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Pettoruto and the Arbëreshë communities of Acquaformosa and Lungro.
More than just sport: Laduesse is also a journey through the flavours of Calabria, with stops at partner restaurants and local establishments that showcase the region’s food and wine. An opportunity to enjoy a comprehensive experience, where every kilometre becomes a journey of discovery.
