If you love the magic of Christmas, plan your trip to Viterbo and experience the enchanting Viterbo Christmas Village, taking place from 15 November 2025 to 6 January 2026. Strolling through the medieval streets of San Pellegrino, the oldest district in the city, you’ll be immersed in a magical Christmas atmosphere filled with festive music, sparkling lights, the scent of mulled wine, caramelized nougat, and cheerful elves and fairies.
All attractions are hosted inside historic medieval buildings, adding charm and authenticity to the event. In Piazza San Pellegrino, the beautiful Palazzo degli Alessandri welcomes visitors to the Santa Claus House, where Father Christmas meets children in a warm and magical setting.
The Befana also awaits guests in her home, ready to share woodland tales and offer sweets… but beware of the Grinch, always up to mischief! The Viterbo Christmas Village truly feels like a magical trip to Lapland, right in the heart of Italy.
Among this year’s highlights is the Slitta Express, an immersive virtual reality experience enhanced with sound effects and wind simulation. Not to be missed is the new life-size Nativity scene, set up inside the former Zaffera building near Piazza San Carluccio, where statues blend with real performers in a captivating display.
Also returning this year are the beloved Christmas markets, spread across various streets and squares, featuring local crafts, traditional products, and unique gift ideas.
