The Euganean Hills Regional Park is a protected natural area located in the province of Padua. In its approximately 18,694 hectares, enveloped in the tranquillity of precious vineyards or immersed in chestnut and oak woods, it is not difficult to daydream.
Here you will find archaeological sites, nature and ethnographic museums, as well as mediaeval fortifications, ancient stone villages, Venetian villas, historic gardens, hermitages and monasteries. A varied territory that will take you by surprise.
The numerous trails that make up its exploratory network make the Park a popular destination for cyclists and walking and hiking enthusiasts of all ages.
You can cycle the 78 kilometres of the Euganean Hills loop, or take the 41 kilometre hike of the Alta Via dei Colli. Those in search of more relaxing activities can wander through the sumptuous gardens of the villas of noble Venetian and Paduan families or visit the village of the poet Petrarch, Arquà Petrarca. And then make a stop to taste the area's wines.
