Overview
In 2007, the Torino Settembre Musica Festival was renamed as MITO SettembreMusica, to mark the cultural twinning between Turin and Milan.
With a programme of great music at affordable prices, throughout the month of September the festival's events will take over theatres, auditoriums, churches, courtyards and squares, transforming Turin and Milan into one huge audience. In fact, the festival stands in the vanguard of the integration processes between the two cities and as an example of cultural vitality. The number of initiatives organised each year in the month of September has, in recent editions, exceeded one hundred for each city, with an average of three daily events in both Turin and Milan.
The festival's musical offer ranges from cultured music – ancient, classical and contemporary, with symphonic and chamber concerts – to jazz, rock and pop music, and songwriting, often with projects exclusively designed for the Festival.
