DIE WALKÜRE

Overview

To mark the re-opening of the historic hall of the Teatro di San Carlo after the restoration works, Die Walküre by Richard Wagner will hit the stage from April 16th to the 29th 2023. Directed by Federico Tiezzi, Abbiati prize awarded for sets and costumes by Giulio Paolini and Giovanna Buzzi. For this edition the Orchestra of the San Carlo Theatre will be conducted by musical director Dan Ettinger. On stage Jonas Kaufmann in the role of Siegmund, John Relyea (Hunding) Christopher Maltman (Wotan), Vida Miknevičiūtė (Sieglinde), Varduhi Abrahamyan (Fricka ), Okka von der Damerau (Brünnhilde).
