Popular destination for hiking enthusiasts
In the heart of Trentino Alto Adige, close to the Catinaccio Group and a few kilometres from the Sciliar Nature Park, lies the village of Pozza di Fassa.
Perfect for hikers, Pozza lends itself to climbing or simple walks. The Monzoni group, with its rocks of volcanic origin, the Gardeccia Dolomites and the Torri del Vajolet offer the opportunity to be in close contact with nature in majestic landscapes. So do the Catinaccio and the Dirupi, which offer a myriad of trekking and mountain biking routes.
There is no lack of history: Pozza di Fassa is located in a place that has been inhabited since the Palaeolithic period and has buildings worthy of attention. Such as the Church of San Lorenzo Pera, which houses a late Gothic altar from the German area, dating back to 1612. Or the Tower, which rises imposingly on a rise above the Avisio torrent.
Space is also given to wellness, thanks to the skin treatments and therapies at Terme Dolomia.
Finally, for a relaxing break, stay in one of the many huts dotted around the area.
