From 27 March to 10 April, DiVinNosiola returns to the Valley of Lakes and Trento.
Vino Santo Trentino, a Slow Food Presidium, is the result of the work of those who believe that it is still necessary to wait for the right moment to produce good things. Things that tell the story of shared knowledge, past memories and present passions. This wine is the result of collective effort and age-old traditions, including the rite of the 'Spremitura': one of the most symbolically significant moments, which takes place during Holy Week and marks the transition from drying on the arèle (racks) to vinification. This ritual becomes an opportunity for coming together and sharing.
Now in its 16th edition, the event has become one of the most important occasions in the Valle dei Laghi. It was created to help people rediscover certain aspects of the region’s cultural heritage and, above all, its food and wine tradition, which is inextricably linked to the production of Vino Nosiola and Vino Santo, two different winemaking styles using a single grape variety: Nosiola, the only indigenous white grape variety in Trentino.
DiVinNosiola is a thoughtful event, as it promotes the food, wine and cultural heritage of Valle dei Laghi in a conscious and respectful manner, focusing on the indigenous Nosiola grape variety and the traditions associated with the production of Vino Santo Trentino.
The focus on sustainable transport, including the ‘Il Vino Santo Trentino’ mini-train, helps to reduce the impact of travel and promotes a slow-paced way of experiencing the area. Furthermore, the presence of the Slow Food Presidium reinforces the commitment to safeguarding quality production, biodiversity and traditional farming practices.
