Overview
The long-awaited Ottobrata Zafferanese returns in 2025 for its 45th edition, taking place every Sunday in October in the historic center of Zafferana Etnea, at the foot of Mount Etna. Considered one of the most representative food and wine events in Southern Italy, the Ottobrata is a true celebration of Sicilian flavors and traditions.
The festival pays homage to autumn with a rich tasting journey through the typical products of the area: Etna honey, mushrooms, chestnuts, grapes, apples, preserves, sweets, and hot dishes prepared according to tradition, with special attention to quality and sustainability. All food will be served exclusively with biodegradable tableware, in respect of the environment.
In addition to the food market, the Ottobrata offers a full program of entertainment for all ages: live music, street performances, craft exhibitions, photography shows, workshops for children, and cultural events involving the entire village.
A multisensory experience that turns every Sunday in October into a collective celebration, filled with seasonal aromas, local excellence, and shared joy.
