Romaeuropa Festival 2023

Overview

The Romaeuropa Festival, which is now in its 38th edition, will be held in 2023 from 6th September to 19th November.

Founded in 1986 and enjoying ever-increasing success, it is now recognised as the most important festival in Italy and was named by the Wall Street Journal as one of the top four festivals in Europe in 2006.

Cult and trendy at the same time, the Romaeuropa Festival has presented the best of contemporary artistic creation to the people of Rome for three decades now, and boasts a loyal audience alongside new spectators every year.

Its audience is as varied as the festival’s cultural offering, which breaks down the barriers between “high” and “mass” culture, in the name of the exchange, union and intertwining of cultures and expressive codes.
Every year, Europe, Asia, America, Oceania and Africa come together in the Italian capital in a spectacular display of dance, theatre, music, cinema, meetings with artists, visual arts and technological marvels, alongside the Kids & Family review, dedicated to the youngest audience members and their families. The sounds and artistic expressions from five continents create an intense aesthetic experience that spreads the pleasure of this spectacle over more than two months across various venues.
