ABB FIA FORMULA E WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – 2023 HANKOOK ROME E-PRIX

Overview

The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returns to the capital with the fifth edition of the Rome E-Prix on 15 and 16 July for the penultimate round of Season 9. Zero-emission electric cars will compete in the streets of the Eternal City.

As the first all-electric motorsport and the only certified zero-emission sport from the very beginning, Formula E brings the excitement of motor racing to some of the world's most iconic cities. The most prestigious car manufacturers and top drivers compete by pushing electric vehicle technology to the limit and demonstrating how high performance and sustainability can coexist without compromise.

During Season 9, with 16 races in 11 different cities, the new GEN3 made its debut. It’s the fastest, lightest, most powerful and most efficient electric single-seater vehicle ever built, with a top speed of 322 km/h.

The iconic Eur circuit, one of the most entertaining and popular with drivers, will be one of the decisive tracks in the battle for the title. It will also be the home race for Maserati, which made its Formula E debut this season. The decision to schedule the Rome event in summer, instead of in spring as customary, will make it possible for the many fans visiting the Eternal City to participate in a series of side events. The sporting event, in fact, also in this edition, will be accompanied by multiple entertainment activities that will cover the entire day, making the audience's experience even more electrifying.
