Overview
In Ferrara, the celebrations continue for the 30th anniversary of the international recognition that established it among the wonders of the world. A milestone that also marks a new beginning: it was 1995 when the historic center of the city was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its extraordinary Renaissance urban identity — designed on a human scale and still vibrant and intact today.
In 1999, the recognition was extended to include the Po Delta landscape and the Delizie Estensi, noble residences surrounded by the countryside, expressions of the harmony between nature and culture envisioned by the Este family. Since then, Ferrara has never stopped protecting and enhancing its heritage, turning it into a source of beauty, creativity, and innovation.
Countless events are being held to celebrate the anniversary, including readings, video mapping shows, concerts, cultural events, and festivals.
