From 14 to 19 April 2026, Reggio Calabria will become an unmissable destination for lovers of artisanal gelato thanks to Gelato Week, a city-wide event that combines flavour with exploring the local area.
For six days, some of the city's most popular ice cream parlours will offer a tasting trail designed to guide visitors and locals along a casual and engaging urban itinerary. This is a different way to experience Reggio Calabria, strolling through the city centre and along the waterfront with an ice cream in hand, amidst contemporary flavours and nods to tradition.
The local circuit includes Cesare, Gelateria McKenzye, Cremeria Sottozero, Trebottoni and Ke Gelato, businesses that embody the quality and creativity of Calabrian gelato-making. There are two ways to take part: the 'Coppetta' (cup) ticket, which allows you to sample up to two flavours, and the 'Cono' (cone) ticket, which is valid for a cup or cone with up to three flavours.
Gelato Week is an opportunity to discover the city through one of its simplest and most characteristic pleasures, combining artisanal craftsmanship, social interaction and the urban landscape.
