Overview

At the foot of the Bolognese Apennines

Monzuno is a small municipality in the province of Bologna, nestled in the green heart of the Apennines of Emilia-Romagna, near the Tuscan border. Positioned between the Setta and Savena valleys, this graceful rustic village boasts several sights of significant cultural interest as well as being an excellent starting point for reaching important historical and nature destinations.

Among the streets of this small village is the Bertocchi-Colliva Art Gallery, which houses an exhibition of some of the most important works by the two artists it is named after. Renowned 20th-century authors, these two professors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna were closely linked to Monzuno. 

Thanks to the town's proximity to the two protected areas of Monte Sole Historical Park and Contrafforte Pliocenico Nature Reserve, you can enjoy long walks and hikes among unspoilt landscapes and unforgettable.
