Two days of celebration in which the small village of Tussio will become the realm of Christmas: the Christmas markets return on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30, for the event “Christmas in the Village of Tussio.”
Stalls filled with colorful Christmas ornaments, lights, handicrafts, all kinds of decorations, local delicacies, music, and plenty of surprises for both young and old. Tussio – a small hamlet in the Municipality of Prata d’Ansidonia – is ready to dress up for Christmas on November 29 and 30, 2025.
The streets and little squares will come alive with lights, sounds, and games, while every old cellar will showcase handmade gifts and ancient crafts. Warmth and comfort will, as always, be guaranteed by the traditional food stalls offering local specialties such as truffle, chickpeas, and L’Aquila saffron.
The Il Borgo di Tussio Association presents this much-loved event, cherished by residents and visitors alike, who come to enjoy carefree moments in the magical atmosphere that this small village in the L’Aquila area knows how to create—between the wonder and anticipation of the Christmas season.
“Christmas in the Village of Tussio” will feature two themed days with markets, crafts, nativity scenes, music, bagpipers, food trucks, and of course, entertainment for children—with a special guest… Santa Claus himself!
