San Piero A Sieve

Overview

Having always been an important crossroads along the routes between Florence, Imola and Bologna, San Piero a Sieve developed during the Middle Ages around the bridge over the Sieve, rebuilt by the Florentines in 1372, and around the parish church of S. Pietro, dating back to the 11th century and which houses a baptismal font attributed to Giovanni della Robbia.
