Pieve Santo Stefano

Overview

An Arezzo town in the upper Tiber valley, Pieve Santo Stefano is known as the "City of the Diary". The Pieve Santo Stefano archive of diaries, which is housed in the rooms of the Palazzo Pretorio, was created here in 1984. Created by journalist Saverio Tutino and developed thanks to a large number of volunteers who had a belief in the power of words and the importance of memory, for years it was an archive like any other historical archive.
