Starting the International Alba White Truffle Fair returns, with over nine weeks of events, confirming its status as the largest and most significant food and wine festival in Italy. Every year, it draws tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world to Alba and its surroundings, attracted not only by the prestige of the Tuber magnatum Pico, but also by an unmatched cultural, experiential, and educational program.
Every weekend the World Alba White Truffle Market takes place in the Cortile della Maddalena: a symbolic place where selling becomes an experience, and quality is selected, guaranteed, and authenticated by expert judges through strict sensory evaluation protocols. Visitors will also immerse themselves in a unique environment: inside the market, a selection of the best Piedmontese food and wine – cheeses, wines, cured meats, sweets – offers a journey into local flavors, combining sustainability with stories of tradition.
But the Fair is also a spectacle, identity, and collective narrative: the city dresses in history, and in the days leading up to the event, ceremonies and historical reenactments take place. From the Bela Trifolera and the Investiture of the Podestà, to the medieval parade and the Palio degli Asini, a folk tale unfolds, bridging generations and deepening the bond with local roots, enchanting both young and old.
Gourmet Experiences: where truffle tells the story of the land
At the Fair, every moment becomes an opportunity to enhance taste: from Cooking Shows with starred chefs in the Beppe Fenoglio Hall, to Unusual Dinners in spectacular locations and sensory analysis workshops at MUDET to Wine Tasting Experiences with the great wines of Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato – each activity is designed to engage the senses and nourish the mind.
