Overview
The Elfo Theatre, with the support of NEXT Laboratorio delle Idee, presents “Amadeus”, the famous drama by Peter Shaffer, directed and performed by Ferdinando Bruni alongside Francesco Frongia. The play, adapted and translated by Bruni himself, tells the legendary story of Antonio Salieri and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, exploring envy, talent, and the conflict between mediocrity and genius. From its London debut in 1979 to Broadway and the acclaimed film by Miloš Forman, which won eight Oscars, “Amadeus” has become a universal classic, capable of moving and engaging audiences through dramatic tension and the mastery of its characters.
Experiencing Amadeus in Pesaro also means immersing oneself in the city’s vibrant cultural life. The elegant and centrally located Teatro Rossini allows visitors to combine the theater evening with the discovery of historic alleys, elegant squares, and artistic corners of the city center. Audiences can enrich their visit with stops at historic bookstores, traditional cafés, or small art galleries, turning a night at the theater into a complete and evocative cultural experience, typical of the Marche region’s atmosphere.
