MANTUA LITERATURE FESTIVAL 2023

Overview

Since 1997, Festivaletteratura has been one of the most eagerly anticipated Italian annual cultural events, five days of meetings with authors, readings, guided tours, shows, concerts with artists from all over the world, who come together in Mantua to experience an unforgettable festive atmosphere.

The 2023 edition will be held from 6 to 10 September 2023.

The Festival is attended by internationally renowned narrators and poets, the most interesting voices of emerging literature, as well as essayists, musicians, artists and scientists, to match literature’s broad acceptance, without denying itself the opportunity to get to know lands and languages far from tradition.

Special focus is on children and adolescents. Numerous talks, shows and workshops are designed just for children or for adults and children together. All this in Mantua, a pearl of the Renaissance recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage site, where the city's intimate dimension brings authors and readers closer together, allowing everyone to easily walk from one event to the next
