Overview
For an entire weekend, from November 7th to 9th, 2025, the historic centre of Gemona del Friuli will become a meeting place for all those who love cheese. But not only that. The event "Gemona, Cheese... and Surroundings," now in its 24th edition, was mainly created to highlight the important dairy production of local dairies, but over the years it has become a showcase for many producers from outside the region. There will be numerous "food and wine stands" offering tastings of various specialties, accompanied by regional and Italian wines; an opportunity to rediscover traditional products, but also a chance to discover new ones and appreciate the dairy specialties of the guest regions. The event takes place alongside the Thanksgiving Festival, which traditionally marks the end of the agricultural year.
