Overview
In the historic centre of La Spezia, you'll find the equally historic place where it all began. From the time (it was 1887) when Signora Pia had "scragno" in Via del Prione, a stall selling focaccia, farinata and castagnaccio, the bakery has never stopped. Now, La Pia has outlets in other parts of the city and even in London! Traditional Ligurian farinotto, the fainà or farinata, the focaccia with Pignone sausage and the castagnaccio with Tuscan ricotta cheese are not to be missed.
