Run Rome The Marathon

Overview

The famous Run Rome The Marathon will take place on March 19th of 2023 in Rome.

Passing by over 30 monuments and historical and cultural sites, it’s the only marathon in the world to boast such wealth. An emotive journey of just over 42 km, with its start and finish on the Fori Imperiali, with a succession of monuments and beauty, along the most impressive places in the city.

A few minutes before the start there will be a flight display from the Frecce Tricolori that will spread the longest tricolor in the world over the sky of the Eternal City and over the Imperial Forums.

Thanks to an agreement with the Air Force, this will be the first time in an Italian marathon that there will be a display from the National Acrobatic Patrol over the heads of the marathon runners: a unique moment, never seen before. The perfect opportunity to let yourself be carried away by your legs and heart, enjoying an emotive experience to cherish forever.

30 thousand people are expected at the 2023 edition. Over 10 thousand foreign participants from 110 countries are ready to cross the finish line in front of the Colosseum, or to participate in the Run4Rome solidarity relay, or the 5km fun run in the town.

THE RELAY – There are already dozens of non-profit associations that have joined and embraced the charity project of Run4Rome, the solidarity relay which today boasts over 500 registered teams.

The teams already formed for the Run4Rome Relay can decide to register through one of the charities participating in the project or directly from the event registration page.

The big news this year is that individuals can sign up as well. The donation is already included in their registration fee. More information on the site:  RUN4ROME - RUN ROME THE MARATHON

FUN RUN – Tens of thousands of people will be at the starting line of the Fun Run. 5km of happiness, celebration, well-being, friendship, solidarity and lots of music. You participate as an individual but also with your family, children or friends: it’s a free pace,  perhaps because freedom is the word that distinguishes this event. All ages can participate: no competition medical certificate is required. Those registered will receive a free souvenir t-shirt in technical runner fabric, signed by tech partner Joma, an award medal (reserved for under 18s),  bib and Gym Bag with the sponsors' free products.
