Against the backdrop of the spectacular landscape of the Pollino National Park, one of the most eagerly anticipated events in Calabrian motorsport is returning: the 25th Cronoscalata del Pollino, scheduled to take place from 1 to 3 May 2026 in Morano Calabro.
Part of the ACI Sport calendar and counting towards the Assominicar National Challenge, the competition attracts drivers and enthusiasts from all over Italy, offering a unique setting where technical skill and stunning scenery come together.
The route follows the historic 'Dirupata', a 6.3-kilometre stretch from the town of Carbonara to the Le Teste di Campotenese tunnel. This technical and challenging route, which already featured in the first edition in 1983, alternates between bends and high-speed sections, all set amidst the natural beauty of the Pollino area.
The programme includes three practice runs and two race runs, spread over several days, in a setting that combines sporting competition with promotion of the local area. The event is taking place with the support of the Morano Calabro Municipal Authority and the Province of Cosenza, confirming the strong bond between sport and the community.
The Cronoscalata del Pollino is an opportunity to experience motorsport in an authentic setting, amidst historic villages and mountain landscapes, in the heart of the most dynamic part of Calabria.
