In the heart of the Alto Ionio Cosentino area, the Tre Borghi National Archery Trophy comes to life – an event that combines sport, culture and scenery, taking place across Alessandria del Carretto, Oriolo and Albidona.
31 May 2026 marks the start of the event, a day dedicated to welcoming the athletes, free practice sessions and opportunities for socialising. This is the time to connect with the locations and the spirit of the competition, amidst stunning views and conviviality, culminating in evening music under the stars.
The true heart of the event, however, will unfold on 1 and 2 June 2026, when the official competition gets under way. The archers will compete along an extensive route that passes through the historic town centres and the Pollino landscape, with 30 shooting stations set among alleyways, squares and natural surroundings. On the evening of 1 June, the village of Albidona will host the evocative 'Notte dei Campioni' (Night of the Champions), an evening competition lit by torches, combining atmosphere and concentration. The event concludes on 2 June with the final stage of the competition, a convivial gathering in Oriolo, and the closing ceremony at the castle, where the winners are announced.
The Tre Borghi Trophy is an opportunity to get to know the Alto Ionio Cosentino area up close, through sport and direct contact with its villages. This experience is ideal for athletes, enthusiasts and travellers seeking authenticity, nature and a pace of life far removed from mass tourism.
