Ambra Angiolini brings a powerful, immersive and surprisingly human theatrical ritual to the stage
In her directorial debut, Ambra Angiolini has created a visionary and deeply contemporary show: W – La misteriosa scomparsa di W., taken from the poetic and biting universe of Stefano Benni. A tragicomic "group soliloquy" that explores fragility, memory and the desire for rebirth, transforming the stage into a living emotional space, with no boundaries between actors and audience.
Centre stage is a woman who reassembles herself from the fragments of her past, accepting her cracks and finding herself "wonderfully non-conforming". It is an intense journey into the contradictions of the contemporary human being, suspended between pain and rebirth, authenticity and artifice, bewilderment and new awareness.
The visual power of the show takes shape through the artistic installations by Cracking Art, made of regenerated plastic, a symbol of transformation and regeneration. Dardust's sound compositions blend electronic and classical music into an emotional score that accompanies the audience into an immersive and "biological" theatrical experience, where human connection once again takes centre stage.
W is not just a show: it is an invitation to slow down, turn off your mobile phones and reconnect with the most authentic part of yourself.
