Pietralunga

Surrounded by woods and hills, Pietralunga is a village with solid medieval roots. Discover them by admiring the walls enclosing the centre, walking along the "vigoli" and approaching the remains of the Lombard fortress, built in the 8th century. In the village, the parish church of Santa Maria is also worth a visit, while just outside its walled confines, stretches of Roman roads and lush nature can be discovered in the Candeleto Oasis, which also houses a Naturalistic Ornithological Museum.
