The notes of the music, the sounds of nature, the emotions of those who play and those who listen.
Musica sulle Apuane is a festival that combines hiking and concerts in an innovative format, where nature and art intertwine, where contact with the audience is informal, and where music is shared in new ways.
The setting for the festival is the rugged, snow-capped peaks of the Apuan Alps, which present visitors with the dazzling white of the marble quarries and the brilliant blue of the sea on the horizon. A landscape rich in trails and enchantment, amidst green meadows, forests of chestnut, beech and fir trees, and cliffs and caves, which visitors must traverse to reach their final destination.
Indeed, each day of the festival includes a hike (guided by CAI guides or independently, using the provided GPS coordinates), lunch at the designated mountain hut or a packed lunch, and a free concert, usually in the afternoon; participants return in the evening or spend the night at the mountain hut or in a tent, if the hike so requires.
The artists and the audience travel to the event venue together.
The 2026 edition runs from 25 April until September.
