An exhibition in Florence celebrating the stars of contemporary art.
From 4 March until 18 June 2023, Palazzo Strozzi is hosting Reaching for the Stars, an exhibition bringing together more than 70 works by leading contemporary Italian and international artists. Maurizio Cattelan, Cindy Sherman, Damien Hirst, Lara Favaretto, William Kentridge, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Sarah Lucas and Lynette Yiadom-Boakye are some of the artists featured in the new exhibition, which will take over the entirety of Palazzo Strozzi, from the Piano Nobile to the Strozzina and the Renaissance courtyard.
Through the perspective of more than 50 artists, Reaching for the Stars presents as an opportunity to reflect on the present and future of art. The exhibition is produced on the 30th anniversary of the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection, one of the most famous and prestigious contemporary art collections internationally. Pieces from the collection sit alongside new works created specifically for the exhibition, as well as an extensive programme of activities and projects to engage the public.
