Overview
Standing on top of Monte Bondone is like standing on a natural terrace. Let your gaze wander over the peaks of the entire Trentino region, from the Brenta Dolomites to Adamello.
The area is a paradise for skiers and not just that: it also lends itself to wonderful walks. Like the one along the “Balcony on the Brenta”, which starts in Vason and arrives in Viote, passing the Tre Cime of Monte Bondone. On the way, one comes across the Viote Bear, a 5 metre colossus made entirely of hay, created in honour of the animal that inhabits the Dolomites.
On skis, but also on foot thanks to the practical chairlift, you can reach Cima Palon, the very high peak with its unmistakable rounded shape. Or Cima Tosa, recognisable by its flat profile.
An excursion suitable for everyone, immersed in nature, is the one that leads to Sopramonte. A visit to the Botanical Garden, one of the oldest and largest in the Alps, with around 2,000 species of high-altitude plants, is not to be missed.
