Adam's Passion

Overview

Adam's Passion will be staged Friday March 31st and Saturday April 1st at the Nuvola di Fuksas convention center in Rome. The theatrical show was conceived in 2015 by Robert Wilson together with the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt. It was proposed for the first time in Italy due to the collaboration of EUR S.p.A. / EUR Culture for Rome. The work draws on Wagner's idea of a “total work of art” blending together music, conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste, dance with Lucinda Childs in her debut with the Rome Opera, lighting curated by A.J. Weissbard, and vocals. All to tell the story of the life of Adam after expulsion from Eden through the evocative language of Wilson and Pärt.
