The tallest of the 2 towers symbol of the city. Built between 1109 and 1119 by the Asinelli family, to give prestige to the family and with a defense function, it is the highest leaning medieval tower in Italy. It is one of the 22 towers that still define the city of Bologna skyline and it is certainly the most famous. Visitors can access it from Piazza di Porta Ravegnana, where the entrance is located. There are 498 steps to climb, for a total height of 97.20 meters, to reach the tower roof terrace and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city. In the distance, on clear days, you can see the Paduan hills and the Venetian Prealps to the north, while to the east and west the Po Valley and to the south the Apennines. The Torre degli Asinelli was hit several times by lightning bolts and in 1824 a lightning rod was installed to protect it. It withstood various fires and emerged unscathed from the bombings of World War II.

Museo del '900: A concentration of 20th Century Art The Museo del '900, located in Piazza Duomo in the Palazzo dell'Arengario, houses one of the most important art collections of the twentieth century. In addition to the paintings, statues and installations that make up the heritage of the Permanent Collection, the museum hosts numerous temporary exhibitions that follow one another over time. Not to be missed is the room dedicated to Lucio Fontana, with its spectacular view of the Duomo and the large neon light hanging from the ceiling like an embrace to the city: one of the best places to admire the facade of the Duomo and the square from above and take pictures with an exceptional background.

Gallerie dell'Accademia the home of art in Venice The largest collection of Venetian art in the world The Gallerie dell'Accademia are located in the Dorsoduro district and comprise three spaces and historic buildings: the Church of Santa Maria della Carità, its monastery, and the Scuola Grande di Santa Maria della Carità. An architectural complex that turns into a treasure chest of a hugely important artistic heritage: it is home to the largest and most important collection of Venetian art in the world, with masterpieces by the most famous painters from the 1300s to the 1700s. Tintoretto, Titian, Carpaccio and Il Veronese are just some of the prestigious names on show in this fascinating place - the symbol of Venetian art. The Gallerie dell'Accademia - but only at certain times of year – even allows visitors to admire Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man.

Molise’s artistic heritage In Casacalenda, in the province of Campobasso, is a place where originality is combined with culture: MAACK, the Kalenarte Open-air Museum of Contemporary Art. Created in 1992, from an idea of architect Massimo Palumbo, in collaboration with the Kalenarte association, MAACK enriches the small Molise village with 21 permanent installations throughout the entire municipal area. From the streets to the squares, the woods to the views, the works of this open-air museum rise up, the result of sui generis artistic and cultural experimentation. Welcoming visitors, just outside the village, is the mammoth figure of The Poet, easily 9 metres high and perfectly integrated among the surrounding trees. In the small square near the town hall is the large black and white chessboard, made of natural materials. There is also The Game of the Sun wall mosaic, composed of small stone tiles capable of reflecting light, and the Cuccagna Tree, on which typical local products are hung. You can choose which route to follow between the red, blue or green route and set out to discover an area that blends tradition and innovation.
