An edition that combines training, industry and vision, in the name of discovery and the growth of new voices in cinema.
Cortinametraggio 2026 returns to Cortina d'Ampezzo from 23 to 29 March, confirming its status as a reference point for short films and new talents in Italian and international cinema. The Festival announces as its first guest Riccardo Scamarcio, the protagonist of an exclusive CSC Lab in collaboration with the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
The workshop, designed in particular for young aspiring actors but open to all, will offer a direct discussion with one of the most authoritative performers in contemporary cinema. It will be held on 24 March (3:00 pm-7:00 pm) and 25 March (10:00 am-2:00 pm), and will be subject to a fee and limited places (16 places).
Among the central moments of the programme, there is also a professional pitch dedicated to the directors in competition, who will be able to present their projects to important industry players such as Eagle Pictures, Indigo Film, Andromeda Film and Wildside, creating a concrete bridge between emerging creativity and production.
The heart of the event will once again be the Hotel de la Poste, a venue for meetings and networking. The Festival also strengthens its international scope with Romania as the 2026 Guest Country, under the artistic direction of the director of photography Nicu Dragan.
New features include a collaboration with Esselunga, which will host screenings at Casa Esselunga, and the introduction of a new section dedicated to branded short films
Federica Pala will be the patron while Roberto Ciufoli will return to lead the evenings of the Festival.
