In Assisi, from 6 December 2025 to 6 January 2027, at the Sala Stampa, a short walk from the Basilica of St Francis, there will be "Con Francesco – Immersive Experience", a Virtual Reality project dedicated to St Francis of Assisi. The initiative offers an immersive account of his story through the use of digital technologies.
The experience lasts about 17 minutes and is divided into several scenes that retrace some of the central stages of Francis' human and spiritual journey. The narrative accompanies visitors from the encounter with Christ to the choice of poverty, from the embrace of the lepers at Christmas 1223 with the Greccio nativity scene, to the vision on Monte della Verna and the Canticle of the Creatures.
The virtual environments reconstruct symbolic places such as the church of San Damiano, Greccio and Monte della Verna, allowing the public to follow the Saint's journey directly. The story focuses on the theme of hope, offering a simple reinterpretation of his story.
