Antognolla Golf

Overview

The best golf course in Italy

The 18-hole course at Antognolla Golf is considered to be one of the most beautiful golf courses in Italy, thanks to its long fairways, sloping greens and water obstacles, which were designed by architect Robert Trent Jones Junior.

Today, it hosts stages of various national and international competitions. Its most demanding holes provide spectacular challenges while offering top-tier enjoyment for both experienced and amateur golfers. In 2022, it also won the World Golf Award for the Best Golf Course in Italy.

It is located in the heart of Umbria, in the shade of the Castle of Antognolla, which towers over the course and offers beautiful views while you play. The manor dates back to the 12th century but its crypt is even older and was originally part of a Benedictine monastery that housed the remains of Ercolano, the patron saint of Perugia.

The castle, which is named after the wealthy local family that built it, is located in the heart of a vast 500-hectare estate nestled in the lush Umbrian hills. Inside, it offers a luxury resort and a restaurant where you can try typical Umbrian cuisine. It is open to all visitors, even if you don’t play golf.
