Overview
Bidonì is a tiny village that overlooks Lake Omodeo and looks at it from the top of a soft hill: from here, looking towards the horizon, you can enjoy an enchanting landscape, rich in greenery, graceful with its gentle hills. But the village's wealth is not only its natural heritage: Bidonì has a remarkable archaeological and historical-artistic heritage. In addition to the remains of an ancient Nuragic settlement, now submerged by Lake Omodeo, the village is home to the Temple of Jupiter, and the 13th-century country church of Santa Maria and the 12th-century church of S. Pietro are also worth a visit. Visiting Bidonì means strolling through its alleys and being bewitched by its grace and flavours... an experience to be lived.
