Federicus 2024: "Ad Orientem, on the way to the rising sun"

Overview

"Ad Orientem, on the way to the rising sun" is the theme of the medieval festival that will take over the city of Altamura from 26 to 26 April 2024 to celebrate its origins rich in legends and history. With its bread, stones, many riches and above all the Palatine Cathedral, Altamura sees Frederick II of Swabia as the re-founder.

Now a well-known attraction even beyond its borders, Federicus tells visitors about the life and way of living and thinking of mediaeval men.

This commemorative festival is a sort of celebration of identity through processions and performances, a manifesto of art, culture and entertainment in the heart of the Apulian Murgia.
