Zoom Torino

Overview

Italy’s first immersive zoo

A 45-minute drive from the capital of Piedmont via the E70 and the A55 motorway, Zoom Torino is located in Cumiana. Founded in 2009, it is the brainchild of the Zoom Foundation, a team of professionals who are committed to conducting scientific research to help protect endangered species. Designed without cages or fences, but instead with lakes, streams, bushes and natural barriers, this zoo is a newly designed immersive park that faithfully reproduces the animals’ natural habitats.

There are 11 immersive habitats – 9 land and 2 aquatic – recreated along the 160,000-m² route, home to more than 300 animals that belong to 80 different species. You can enjoy an adventurous journey on foot, travelling across Asia and Africa, encountering Madagascar lemurs and Siberian tigers, giant tortoises, pelicans, chital deer, South African penguins, zebras, giraffes and hippos.

You can also attend talks and demonstrations of birds of prey flying around the zoo. For the youngest visitors, there are two play areas where they can have fun while in contact with nature on jungle trails, swings and slides. In spring, the Africa Glamping package becomes available, which allows you to stay at the resort and stay in a villa, lodge or tent. You also get free access to the zoo, its pools and the special panoramic Savana Terrace that overlooks the Serengeti hill, from morning to night.
