Overview
Cheese returns to Bra from 19 to 22 September 2025, the world’s largest international event dedicated to cheese. Organized by Slow Food and the City of Bra, with the support of the Piedmont Region, the event celebrates its 15th edition, once again shining a spotlight on a unique production system valued for its environmental, social, cultural, and economic significance.
There are countless events for all ages and tastes: market, meetings, and tastings. The large Cheese Market will once again host the best raw milk products from shepherds, cheesemakers, cheese vendors, and affineurs from all Italian regions and many European countries including France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom. Over 400 exhibitors are expected. Among them, many Slow Food Presidia, representing an excellent production model based on raw milk, animal welfare, and respect for the land. Alongside them, affineurs and selectors who work closely with producers, purchasing fresh cheese and shaping its identity through careful aging processes.
Also returning is the Slow Food Coffee Coalition space, dedicated to the international network connecting everyone involved in the coffee supply chain — from growers and partners to roasters and consumers.
As with every edition, Cheese offers a rich schedule of hundreds of events for gastronomes and enthusiasts, for those who want to explore the world of milk, pastoralism, and mountains, for industry professionals and curious visitors of all ages. Activities include Conferences on key issues in the cheese world, and Taste Workshops, held at Palazzo Traversa in Bra and the Wine Bank in Pollenzo, offering opportunities to learn through tastings and producer stories.
In the Food Policy – Food, Travel, Territory area, space is dedicated to dialogue on food policies and local best practices. Among the key players: Slow Food Travel itineraries, the City of Rome, the Central Institute for Intangible Heritage, and the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy, present with dedicated spaces and featured in the program's discussions — showcasing the connection between landscape preservation, quality of life for communities and visitors, and the value of local production.
